At Lakeview Dental Care, it’s our job to protect your teeth. The value you place on your teeth is something we share. We are here to help you through troubling times that may occur when unexpected circumstances damage your smile. Having a tooth knocked out can be a scary experience, but we’re here to let you know there are steps you can take to save your tooth.

The first step to take after having a tooth knocked out is to immediately clean it. Pick the tooth up by the crown (avoid touching the root). While holding the tooth by the crown, wash off any debris from it by using either lukewarm water or milk. After the tooth is clean, check to see if it is broken. If it isn’t broken, try to place the tooth back into the socket. If the tooth has been broken, store it in either your cheek or glass of milk until your dentist appointment.

Schedule your appointment immediately at Lakeview Dental Care with Dr. Jeffrey Brink. he will place the tooth back in the socket to save it if possible. If the tooth isn’t able to be salvaged, replacement options for it will be discussed.

Some options for replacement of your lost tooth include dental implants, dental bridges, and dentures/partial dentures.
